Spiro originally joined Guardian National Mortgage back in June 2019 and spent the next 2.5 years with the Guardian team until Jan 2022 writing many Residential, Investment and SMSF loans during this time. He then moved to work under another ACL holder for approx. 18 months but has now returned to rejoin the GNM team, since Sept 2023.

Spiro has been working in Finance Broking industry for over 10 years now, and has held various roles in the industry, gaining a valuable spread of knowledge across the various sectors along his journey, writing many hundreds of loans in the Residential, Investment, Construction, as well as SMSF and Commercial space.

Spiro holds both a Certificate IV and Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking Management

Phil established Guardian National Mortgage back in 2013.

His career in finance started back in England working for NatWest Bank in 1987. He migrated to Australia in 1993 and joined a non bank lender in Western Australia. He finished working for them in 2005 and ended up in Victoria. Throughout this time he had many roles, starting off as a Mobile Lender, Sales Manager, State Manager and ended up the National Sales Manager - External Sales.

Phil then created a new non bank lender in late 2005 and closed it down when the GFC hit in 2008/9.

Between 2008 and 2012 Phil ran various finance projects for both himself and another company.

Phil holds both a Certificate IV and Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking Management and the Australian Credit Licence for Guardian National Mortgage.

Over the past 10 years, Guardian has settled in excess of $1B of loans.
